The 2022 Scattered Stones pours a a staining deep purple core with a velvet, neon crimson rim. Aromatically, the wine opens with notes of wild blackberry, lamb tagine, black pepper, earth, morel mushroom, and a decadent chocolate mousse. Rich and enveloping on entry, the palate is rife with black plum, blackberry compote and more blue and black fruits, followed by weighty texture and satiating tannins. The wine slowly closes at length with a hint of blackberry turnover and a bright acidity that keeps the palate puckered and fresh.
